My favorite Contour, Blush and Highlighter Combo

Have you ladies missed me?!

Sorry I've been MIA this past week in a half. I have been busy with work, I just started my new job at Estée Lauder :)))), and my birthday was last week. But ladies, I'm back!

Today I am going to let all you pretties in on my current favorite contour, blush and highlighter combination. They are actually all MAC Cosmetics and they are seriously amazing! The color pay off of these three products are so ridiculous in a sense that a little goes a LONG way.

The first product in the picture is what I use for my contour. It is actually a blush, but works great as a contour shade. The name of the blush is Blunt.

This works so well as a contour shade because one, its very pigmented, two, it's so easy to blend out, And three, it's the perfect brown shade. It's not too orange or too red and it has a slight grayish tone making it perfect to create those shadows in the hollows of your cheeks! This color is perfect for a wide range of skin tones.

My current favorite blush is Out For Fun by MAC Cosmetics.

This is a newer cream based Lip and Check Colour by MAC. Now you guys, THIS.... is amazingggggggg. I'm telling you this works great on any skin tone. One dab on your brush is just enough for more fair skin tones and it is very "buildible" for all you darker skin tones out there. I just LOVE this product (am I making my point? LOL). But seriously, cream products are starting to take over and I am definitely jumping on the bandwagon. And, I know it looks bright in the pan, but on the skin it's beautiful. I promise you, if you try it out you won't be disappointed.

Now last but not least, my new favorite "highlight" product. I have highlight in quotations because it's not actually a highlighter. It's a cream eyeshadow base by MAC in the shade Pearl

Now like the last product, this is also a cream product and a little goes a long way. I looks pretty opaque in the pan, but on the skin it creates that perfect "glowy" highlight shade. This product also looks amazing on all skin tones as I've tried it on a couple of different people because I just could't hold in my excitement LOL. It just highlights the cheek bones so perfectly and it blends right into the blush.

In this picture I used both blush and highlight but a different bronzer for my contour. The highlight is on top of the blush and can't you see how perfectly they go hand and hand? I am obsessed! I also put up a tutorial on Contour and Highlighting on my Youtube Channel yesterday and here's the LINK. Check it out, comment and please remember to subscribe

Cute yet Simple Fall AND Summer Look

Happy Hump Day Ladies!

Today I am going to shed light on a quick and simple, but cute outfit that I think ANYONE can rock this Fall. Although Fall doesn't technically start until next week, here in Indianapolis it is already getting chilly *wahhhhhh :(*. And I know that most of us are sad to see Summer go, but on the bright side, you get to whip out those leggings, knee high boots, and jean jackets!

I came up with an outfit that includes salmon colored pants, a simple white shirt with a jean jacket and laced-up wedges.

I just loved this outfit and think it can work for both summer and fall. The laced-up wedges can be worn in the summer and early fall because although it wraps around the ankle, it doesn't completely suffocate the foot. And the jean jacket pulls this whole outfit together, as it keeps it edgy and casual with the rolled up sleeves. Now, any white top can be worn with this outfit, I just picked this one because I loved the cute bow at the top.

This is also a VERY affordable outfit with the jean jacket from American Eagle,

top from Old Navy, pants from Forever 21 (excuse the wrinkles!!),

 and shoes from Charlotte Russe.

For the jewelry, I threw on some gold Fall leafy earrings from Forever 21 and my gold Michael Kors watch.

These accessories worked perfectly with this outfit because they aren't too dressy or too casual, making this a perfect outfit for day and night. I wore this outfit all day, starting with shopping and ending with a movie and a dinner with my dad.

I hope this post helps and gives you different ideas that you can choose between as you combine and switch out your Fall and Summer Wardrobes. It's a great outfit that can work in all regions of the US right now!

Thank you so much for reading and keep an eye out for another makeup tutorial sometime this week! Check out my last blog post and my previous makeup tutorial on a sultry smokey eye HERE

Much love!

How to: Sultry Smokey Cat Eye

Hello Ladies and Happy Monday

I hope everyone is having a great start to their work week! I have just uploaded a new video to my Youtube Channel centered around Makeup Geeks Eyeshadow Pigment in Afterglow. I used this on my lid and created a sultry smokey cat eye on the outer corner of my eye. I loved how this turned out. Please click this LINK and watch the video! This is more of a How To video than my last get ready with me. I give some good tips for all those beginners out there. I did list all of the products used as well as the brushes used in the description box below the video.

Here are two pictures of this look I created. Let me know what you think in the comments below or comment on the video!

Anastasia Beverly Hills: Amrezy Palette Review and Swatches

Hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday!

Today I am going to review the amazing Amrezy Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. This a nude palette with the perfect amount of Matte and Shimmery shades with two big pops of color.

Youtube Beauty Guru Amrezy herself said that her goal with this palette was to create palette where you wouldn't have to reach for any other eyeshadows. And that is exactly what she did. I am so obsessed with the palette it's ridiculous. I am constantly traveling back in forth from my boyfriends apartment to mine and seriously this is the ONLY palette I need to take with me! With a total of 10 eyeshadow colors in the palette, Amrezy hit it dead on with this one.The mirror is also the perfect size so that HONESTLY you don't need to reach for anything else!

Here is a closer look of the palette.

As you can tell I have pretty much used every color in the palate. The two shades Caramel and Morocco make for the most PERFECT crease color, while Vanilla and Legend make for the most perfect brow highlight. I am honestly in love with all of these colors. This palette lets you do a simple everyday eye, a dramatic smokey eye, and even a very bright colored eye with the shades Iridescent Purple and Emerald. Now, the shades Glisten and Topaz make for an amazing all over lid shade as well as a great inner corner highlight.  As for LBD, well you just can't go wrong with a matte black shade.

These eyeshadows are a soooo creamy and pigmented its crazy, however, if you wanted to take it to the next level you can wet you brush with MAC Fix+ or use eyedrops to make the shimmery eyeshadows pop even more, leaving it with a perfect foil look.

I have swatched all of the eyeshadows on my arm below. Now since I have more of a caramel skin tone, the colors aren't as pigmented as they would be on someone more fair. BUT this just shows you how truly pigmented the eyeshadows really are. I didn't used any primer or eyeshadow based under any of these eyeshadows.

Here are the first 5 eyeshadows colors in the palette.

And here are the last 5 eyeshadows.

Now, for those of you that have darker skin tones than I do, if you used a base like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk or MACs eyeshadow base in Painterly, these eyeshadows will show up a lot better on your skin. I personally use MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NC 35 which is a few shades lighter than my skin tone. It cancels out any dark colors and veins on my eyelids and it works as a primer as well because it has anti-creasing technologies. I primer or eyeshadow base will ALWAYS make eyeshadows show up more vibrant.

My favorite color in the palette is by far Iridescent Purple. My favorite color is purple and this is seriously the most pigmented and creamy purple eyeshadow I own. Here is a look I came up with using this color.

All of Anastasia's eyeshadows are very creamy and pigmented. I chose to review this palette because its only $29.00 for great quality eyeshadows. You can only get three eyeshadows at MAC for this price. There are only two down falls to the palette. The first being that this palette is now ONLY sold on Amazon (if it's somewhere else please comment below and let me know!) and it does have a little fall out when packing some of the shimmery colors on the lids. Other than that this palette is amazing and overall I would give this palette a 9 out of 10!

I hope this review was helpful and let me know if you would like to see a makeup tutorial of this look. Here is a direct LINK to Amrezy's blogpost about her palette! I hope this helps too!

Have a great rest of your night.

Much love,

XOXO
